This Big Old Guy came out of the wood from behind us, and passed within 30 feet of where we were sitting .
He was hot and panting, it was around 60 degrees f.   He stopped to catch his breath, looked at us, (photo #2),
then took a drink and  laid down in the creek to cool off..

 

                                                              

Mom and Cubs on Big River Mud Flats.  These bears were apxx. 50 yards away.

 

                          

Just Bears fishing in the creek, some near the out let into Cooks Sound.

 

                    

Some Bears Up close, the bear in the right 2 photos passed between us and the creek, under 20 ft. away.

 

                       

 

Marilyn 4 year old Females, had trouble fishing.  She would take a hour to get one fish.
She was also not fearful of us.  Note how close she got to the other group.

 

                       

Marilyn and her friend both 4 year olds, were playing on beach one evening. 
We were on our way back to camp after sunset.  They were under 40ft. away with the sunset behind them.
These photos were taken in low light with the bears back lit.

The Bears were between 40 to 60 feet away from where were sitting.

Then after he starts to eat his catch,  along comes a bigger bear that take the fish away.

In Denali,  Mom and Cub photos shot through bus windows, at apxx. 60 feet.
They approached the bus and  passed with in 5 feet of it.
